Skiing
Overview
Skiing is the classic mountain thrill: clip in, point downhill, and let gravity and a bit of technique carry you down the slope. The first day is all snowplough turns and gentle greens, and the progression from there is quick and properly addictive, all the way to powder, moguls and the whole mountain.
Lessons are the shortcut. A good instructor gets beginners turning and stopping safely in a day or two, and saves seasoned skiers from the bad habits that hold them back. There is terrain for every level, from nursery slopes to off-piste.
The instructors on adventuro run ski lessons, courses and guided days for all abilities. Warm layers, a helmet and a few hot chocolates go a long way.
